TODA brown belt goes with brown shoes. It’s as simple as that. Additionally, a black belt goes with black shoes. Every man should have at least two belts — one brown, one black. And one of those reversible belts … well, they’re for boys. Seriously, this is a rule that should be set in stone … but men are seen every day with brown shoes and a black belt. So, stop it. Now.

Here’s a freebie tip: While there may be times when you simple don’t need a belt, here’s a quick way to remember if you’re going to look sloppy without one. If A: you plan on tucking in your shirt, and B: your pants have beltloops … then wear a belt. It doesn’t matter if your pants already fit perfectly.

A second freebie tip: Don’t wear a belt and suspenders at the same time.
