Alabama ABC Say No-Way To ‘Dirty’ Beer Label

The Alcohol Beverage Control in Alabama banned the selling of a beer because of profanity on its label.

Founders Brewing Company’s “Dirty Bastard” Scotch-style ale has been denied a spot on beer-store shelves, according to The Associated Press.

However, the state does allow the selling of “Fat Bastard” wine, and I personally ordered an “Arrogant Bastard” ale in Birmingham, Ala., a few years ago.

What do you think about this … First, is “Dirty Bastard” profane? Secondly, should a beer be banned because of the label contents when you have to be 21 to buy it in the first place?

The last I checked, you could still rent profanity-filled R-rated movies in Alabama.
